Strategic Innovation Limited (SI) is thrilled to announce the launch of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Nottingham. Co-funded by the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK, we will work closely with Nottingham University Business School’s two centres of excellence, N/Lab and the Haydn Green Institute to scale up our AI-enabled consumer insight capabilities.
This will support our ambition to support food system sustainability through our ‘Think Better World’ concept. Based on the belief that we can only make meaningful change when everyone has a voice and access to the same information, we hope to engage stakeholders from farm to fork – and beyond – to better understand the barriers and enablers to sustainability.
“I’m so excited to be at the start of a dream that has been incubating for several years. We desperately need better world thinking. And that starts with better insight which we get from better data and analytics.”
The KTP will scale up SI’s existing consumer insight services through the application of novel AI/machine learning technologies to increase the speed, quality and precision of data capture and analysis processes. Guided by powerful insights, Think Better World will bring together an alliance of food stakeholders in the public, private and third sectors to address the complex, ‘messy’ sustainability challenges facing our world today.
Crucial to supporting the partnership will be the recruitment of a data scientist to embed this new, AI-enabled technology within SI.
“At a time when misinformation abounds online, gathering reliable, trusted data that can inform optimal decision making has never been more valuable. We at N/lab and Nottingham University Business School are excited to collaborate in this KTP partnership with Strategic Innovation, using NLP (Natural Language Processing) to advance consumer research – and helping organisations to both better understand their audiences and promote social good.”
“This two-year KTP project is an excellent opportunity for Strategic Innovation and Nottingham University to collate and analyse data positively, to enable the transformation of our food production system and provide human behavioural insights to NGOs and the food industry.”
With a shared commitment to “Machine Learning for Social Good,” we are excited to see what the KTP will bring. Want to know more or get involved? Please get in touch.
